...Imagine...Imagine the most beautiful person, so calm, so content, greeting you at the top of the stairs of a light blue painted house, ushering you into their home, through a room dedicated to creation.
Imagine you are experiencing a severe migraine, resulting in a loss of vision from the pain, and panic attacks. Seeing your pain, you are seated in a yellow seat in a bay windowed room that the sun has warmed, just for you. He begins by using lovely smelling oil that is placed in the palms of your hands. He instructs you to rub your hands together and smell the fragrance. The smell is sweet and if yellow had a smell that is what it would be.
He places his hands on your forehead and the back of your head. Tears start to run down your face and your emotions build at such a rate that you collapse forward in the chair. At this point your heart is racing. Your breath is short and rapid and all you can think of is that the pain is never going to let up!
This person places his hands on your chest, just below your collar bone and on your back, in between your shoulder blades. You bring yourself to straighten up. As you do, there is a massive shift in energy, as if you were in a dark room, looking at doors that are opening with light flooding in everywhere.
You have a vision of this as it is happening and you take a breath as if you hadn't been breathing before that point. You feel so peaceful and perfect. You can't imagine that there is any other way you would want to feel.
This was my first experience.
I went away wanting to know how this happened and how I could be like him, helping other people. When I was introduced to learning Reiki by a friend, I found what I was looking for.
Each level of Reiki has given me the tools to develop myself in a way that is gentle and calming, and provided me with a pathway to a deeper connection with myself. I once looked outside of myself and now I see that it is in me.
A beautiful saying that a friend told to me in my early days of living in Adelaide was:
" do what makes your heart sing "
